Top-quality, regional produce is prepared with passion and creativity and the resulting dishes served with select wines. The prospect is breathtaking – Nik and Simon Buchs and the team will take good care of you, all you have to do is enjoy!

The cosy, lovingly designed restaurant can seat up to 160 inside and with using the terrace with our without a tent you can place up to another 250 guests.

The à la carte menu offers delicious lunches, freshly prepared daily with loving care.

“e Guete!” as we say in Switzerland – we hope you enjoy your meal.

A few highlights;

  • Daily changing mountain soup with our without sausage
  • Thai-Asia Soup with shrimps – colourful & spicy
  • Crunchy field salad from Gstaad out of Daniel’s yard
  • Beef Entrecôte from the Simmental with vegetables and french fries
  • Rösti with sunny-side-up eggs and bacon or simple plain Rösti
  • Fondue Moitié-Moitié
  • Daily adapting desserts
  • Meringues from Gruyère with a lot of double cream

If you are not that hungry we recommend:

Crunchy field salad with balsamic dressing or

a Rösti with eggs.

 

However, if you are very hungry then go for:

Grilled veal sausage with onion gravy and crispy Rösti.

Sliced veal from Saanen with Rösti

Beef Entrecôte grilled with vegetables and gravy plus homemade french fries.

Homemade beef tartar mild or spicy with salad and grilled Payasse from Early Beck Saanen.

Something extremely local and traditional:

The Fondue! The Moitié-Moitié from Gruyère Moléson is one of the “Must-do’s” upon your visit at the Wasserngrat.

You can pare it with pickless and potato and also add a shot of snaps. That is how Swiss people enjoy their Fondue.

Or during winter season why not taste the white or black truffle sprinkled at the top of the melted cheese? mmmhhh delicious!
